Well in Class we learned how to unwrap UVs and make them into textures

Here I modeled a low poly treasure chest with a sci-fi  theme to it.

I unwrapped the model and flatten them to create a flat UV texture. Sadly the program had issues flattening all of the faces so the textures look bad on the model.

I then added textures to the UV that will paint on the model.
Finally I finished texturing my model. The UV had a few bugs into it and refuse to fix the changes I made to it. Hopefully later on in the future I will be better at UVing and texturing.

Well Part 2

I have officially finished my Well using only Maya and Photoshop.

I added details to the well adding a bump to it to make it, somewhat realistic. In Photoshop, I added two brick textures to give it a rustic look to it.
The Floor was interesting. Like the wall, I added two brick colors to add the rustic feeling to it. Making the bump was difficult, epically extruding it.
Roof was hard. Kept crashing on me, and the Normal map was a little bit low res. But I got the color and style on it finally.
The tree was interesting I used the geometry tool to curve the way it is, and finally gave it it's look.

This is the AO map that helped put all of the colors together.
This is the finalization of the texture map which I converted it to a Targa file.
This is the Normal map that helped gave the well it's bump like texture to the object. I had no issues with, except the roof that made it look low res.

Creating this well so far is kind of a pain in the neck. In the beginning of creating the well, my flash drive couldn't handle the gb the model had and crashed. So after the crash, I had to restart and start from crash. After that things went  more smoothly than I predicted. The trees were fun to sculpt to make it look old (well old enough), it was fun making the floor not flat, and designing the rooftop was incredible and exciting. Can't wait to finish the well, but I just need to figure out what is wrong with the UV.
